Application
Pigment red 170 is a newly developed structural variety with blue-red hue, exhibiting stronger blue light than Pigment Red 170 and Pigment Red 210. Its application performance is inferior to Pigment Red 170, such as lower lightfastness by 0.5-1 grade, sensitivity to varnish and sterilization treatment, while other properties (e.g., color strength, glossiness, and transparency) are similar. It is primarily used in coatings, solvent-based inks, water-based inks, and fabric dyeing. This pigment offers neutral red tones and comes in two crystal forms: the transparent type exhibits blue-red with lightfastness of 6 grade, while the non-transparent type has lightfastness of 7 grade, high hiding power, and greater solvent stability. Novoperm Red F2RK 70 has a specific surface area of 23 m²/g and is mainly applied in coatings
